The Walk in the Park mobile app is live
A ten-year-old wellness community in Gran Canaria gets a phone-shaped front door. We built it. We're also part of it.

Today we are quietly proud. The A Walk in the Park mobile app is now live. You can grab it from download.wip.care.
If that name doesn't ring a bell yet, here's the short version. WIP is a non-profit founded in 2015 in Maspalomas, Gran Canaria. Every Sunday at 10:00, anyone can show up at Parc del Sur for an outdoor session of yoga, breathwork or meditation — free, beginner-friendly, in the open air. Over the past decade more than 8,000 people have walked through one of these sessions. A yearly International Yoga & Mindfulness Festival reunites the wider community.
Why an app, after ten years on WhatsApp
The community had outgrown the tools that got it here. Class schedules lived in WhatsApp messages. Event sign-ups bounced between Eventbrite, Instagram DMs and word-of-mouth. New socios joined via a Google form and a forwarded link. None of that scales when 8,000 people have passed through your door and 2,000+ show up at the festival.
We wanted a single place where members can see what's happening this Sunday, register for the next retreat, pay their membership and stay in the loop — without a single broken link or expired QR code.
What's inside
- A clean weekly schedule of sessions, sunrise practices and special events.
- Member management — sign up, renew, and keep your profile in one place.
- Festival and retreat registration without the Eventbrite detour.
- Push notifications you actually want, not the ones you forgot you allowed.
- Built for iOS and Android with the same care.

A note on who built it
This isn't a vendor case study. Lilly Rikhter — Bodhi's co-founder — is also WIP's president. Christophe Mazzola — Bodhi's other co-founder — is a patron. We didn't pitch this project. We built it because the community we're personally part of needed it, and because we knew exactly what was missing.
That changes how a product gets made. Every screen got tested on a real Sunday. Every notification got argued about in the WhatsApp group it was meant to replace. We shipped the boring parts properly because we're the ones who'll get tagged when they break.
Where it goes from here
v1 ships today. v1.1 is already in the schedule — better festival flows, smoother onboarding, a few features we held back because they weren't ready for a real Sunday. If you walk in the park, this app is yours. If you've never been, the next session is free and the Wi-Fi is the ocean.
Grab it: download.wip.care. See you in the park.
