Walk in the Park
Conscious wellness app where mindfulness meets technology.
Walk in the Park is the full digital home of a Gran Canaria wellness community: a native mobile app, the websites, and the video content that tells its story. We built all of it from the ground up — streamlining hundreds of socios, coordinating events, and powering a festival that reunites more than 2,000 people — proving that technology and community can grow together.
The community
WIP (A Walk in the Park) is a non-profit founded in 2015 in Maspalomas, Gran Canaria. Every Sunday at 10:00, anyone shows up at Parc del Sur for an outdoor session of yoga, breathwork or meditation — free, beginner-friendly, in the open air. Over the past decade more than 8,000 people have walked through one of these sessions. A yearly International Yoga & Mindfulness Festival reunites the wider community.
Why an app
The community had outgrown its tools. Class schedules lived in WhatsApp messages, event sign-ups bounced between Eventbrite and Instagram DMs, new socios joined via Google Forms. None of that scales at 8,000 people and 2,000+ at the festival.
What we shipped
- A clean weekly schedule of sessions, sunrise practices and special events.
- Member management — sign up, renew, profile in one place.
- Festival and retreat registration without the Eventbrite detour.
- Push notifications you actually want.
- iOS and Android, built with the same care.

The website
Beyond the app, we built the public home at wip.care — the front door for newcomers, the festival and retreat pages, and the membership sign-up. Same design language as the app, so the community feels like one thing wherever they meet it.

Film & video
And we tell the story on screen. We produce the video content — festival films, session recordings and promo pieces — that carries the feeling of a real Sunday at Parc del Sur to people who have not been yet. Filming, editing, colour and sound, start to finish.
How we worked
Not a vendor relationship. Lilly Rikhter is WIP's president and Bodhi's co-founder. Christophe Mazzola is a patron. Every screen was tested on a real Sunday and every notification was argued about in the WhatsApp group it was meant to replace.
